At Red Watch Security Limited, we are proud to formally announce that we have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, reinforcing our long-standing commitment to supporting those who serve, or have served, in the UK Armed Forces and their families.

Our pledge recognises the immense value that serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring not only to society, but also to the private security industry.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant represents a national promise ensuring that members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in public or commercial services. If reflects a shared moral obligation between the nation, businesses and those who dedicate their lives to protecting the UK.

By signing the Covenant, organisations commit to actively supporting service personnel, veterans and their families through employment opportunities, wellbeing initiatives and community engagement.

Our Commitment as a Security Employer

Security and military service share many core values - discipline, integrity, professionalism, accountability and teamwork.

Through our Covenant pledge, Red Watch Security formally recognises the transferable skills developed through military service and commits to supporting Armed Forces personnel transitioning into civilian careers. Our commitments include:

  • Supporting UK Service Veterans and Leavers
  • Creating opportunities for Reservists and Cadet Volunteers
  • Supporting Service Spouses and Families
  • Promoting Armed Forces awareness across our workforce
  • Participating in Armed Forces Day and Reserve Forces Day initiatives

These commitments were formally recognised when Red Watch Security Limited signed the Covenant on 12th January 2026, becoming an official Armed Forces Friendly employer listed on GOV.UK.

Supporting Veterans into Civilian Security Careers

Many skills developed within the Armed Forces naturally align with professional security roles, including:

  • Risk assessment and situational awareness
  • Leadership and decision-making under pressure
  • Incident response and conflict management
  • Operational planning and teamwork
  • Commitment to public safety and professionalism

At Red Watch Security Limited, we actively recognise military qualifications and operational experience within our recruitment and selection processes, helping veterans transition smoothly into meaningful long-term employment.

Practical Support for the Armed Forces Community

Our pledge goes beyond words. We have embedded tangible support measures within our business operations, including:

  • Advertising suitable vacancies through Forces Families Jobs
  • Flexible working arrangements for Reservists where operationally feasible.
  • Additional leave to support Reservist training commitments
  • Access to our BUPA wellbeing package for employed veterans and their families
  • Mental health and wellbeing support tailored to Service-related challenges
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

We are committed to ensuring Armed Forces personnel feel valued, supported and able to thrive within our organisation.

Strengthening Social Value Through Employment

Supporting the Armed Forces community forms a key part of our wider social value and ESG commitments. By employing veterans and supporting military families, we help:

  • Reduce barriers to civilian employment
  • Retain highly skilled individuals within local communities
  • Promote wellbeing and inclusion
  • Strengthen community resilience

This approach aligns with our wider commitment to responsible employment, inclusive recruitment and sustainable workforce development across all contracts we deliver.

  • Promote awareness of Armed Forces contributions
  • Publish updates, case studies and success stories
  • Support national remembrance and Armed Forces events
  • Create meaningful career pathways for veterans and reservists
