Protecting Today, Investing in Tomorrow: Our 2024-2025 Annual Report Highlights

Published on 20 October 2025 at 10:23

At Red Watch Security Ltd, we believe security is about more than protecting buildings, it is about protecting people, communities and the future we all share.

Our newly published Annual Report 2024-2025 celebrates another successful year of growth, sustainability and social value delivery across the United Kingdom.

It reflects our ongoing commitment to integrity, responsibility, and innovation while highlighting the achievements that continue to set us apart as a people-centred, community-driven security provider.

Putting People First

At the heart of Red Watch Security are our people, the officers, managers and support teams who deliver exceptional service every single day. Over the past year, we have strengthened our internal culture through several major milestones:

Achieved Living Wage Employer status, ensuring every member of our team earns above the legal minimum

Gained Disability Confident Employer accreditation, demonstrating inclusive and accessible recruitment

Rolled out the BUPA Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to all employees and extended it to clients as an added wellbeing benefit.

Delivered an average of 10 hours of training per employee, with plans to double this in 2025-2026 and launch a new apprenticeship programme in 2026-2027.

Our open-door policy, quarterly welfare checks, and strong focus on diversity continue to create a workplace where everyone feels supported and valued. This people-first approach was key to our recent Investors in People Awards 2025 nomination, a reflection of the dedication, transparency and trust embedded in our culture.

Driving Sustainability and Environmental Impact

Sustainability is central to how we operate. In 2024, we established our baseline carbon footprint across fleet and office operations, achieving a 3% reduction in fuel usage and a 76% reduction in paper waste through digital transformation. Our 2025-2026 environmental goals include:

  • Reducing fleet CO2 emissions by 5% through hybrid vehicle adoption and telematics trackings.
  • Achieving 95% paper reduction and increasing recycling rates to 80%+ at our Bristol Head Office.

We are proud that our environmental strategy aligns with the UK Net Zero 2050 target and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring we contribute to a greener, more resilient future.

Strengthening Communities and Local Partnerships

Our commitment to social value extends well beyond our contracts. in 2024-2025, we:

  1. Donated £2500 to local charities (targeting £3000+ in 2025-2026).
  2. Continued sponsorship of Shotton Colts U13s and Alderholt Youth U11 Girls, supporting youth development through sport.
  3. Introduced 50 volunteering hours for staff to engage directly with community projects.
  4. Expanded local recruitment, with over 75% of new hires living within 25 miles of their site.
  5. Introduced bilingual Welsh-English officers to support new contracts in Wales.

These initiatives ensure that Red Watch Security Limited not only provides protection but also actively strengthens the communities we serve.

Governance, Integrity and Continuous Improvement

Compliance, ethics and quality remain at the core of everything we do. Our Integrated Management System (IMS), certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and aligned with BS7858, BS7499 and BS10800 drives continual improvement across operations, health and safety and client satisfaction. We maintain accreditations including (but not limited to):

  1. SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS)
  2. NSI Silver for Guarding and Keyholding
  3. Safecontractor
  4. Constructionline Gold
  5. Investors in People

Regular internal audits, lessons learned reviews and regular management meetings ensure we uphold the highest standards of governance and accountability.

Looking Ahead: 2025-2026 Commitments

Our roadmap for the year ahead focuses on five key commitments:

  1. Local Employment and Inclusion: Recruit 75% of staff locally and expand opportunities for ex-offenders and veterans.
  2. Bilingual Service Deliver in Wales: Sustain Welsh-English capability through local hires and staff language training.
  3. Carbon and Fleet Reduction: Cut CO2 emissions by 5% and continue hybrid fleet adoption.
  4. Community Engagement: Deliver at least 50 hours and increase donations to £3000+
  5. Training and Workforce Development: Deliver 20+ training hours per employee and prepare our first apprenticeship cohort.
